The Great Work is a collaboration project for UNC-Charlotte alumni. The book uses the concept of alchemy to show the growth of the individuals involved and how their design process has evolved into a more refined form. The concept of alchemy and gold also further connects to the UNC-Charlotte mascot, a gold miner. The spreads found inside share interviews with the designers and how UNC-Charlotte helped to form them into the graphic designers they are today.
